Team Blue!

Last week, I reported with hesitation that our doctor thought our baby was going to be a girl. However, the baby was moving around a lot and it was kind of hard to spot the goods. As it turns out those family jewels were indeed hiding because as of 8:45 am this morning we learned we are having a BOY! There was no mistaking it as this little one proudly displayed his goods for all the world to see (typical male fashion of course!)

Dale was looking forward to having a girl but is equally as thrilled to know that his legacy will continue and the Pittman name carried on. I am thrilled that I have a little Dale to share our life with and am looking forward to raising what will be the world's biggest mama's boy!

Aside from the wonderful display of male parts (which Dale will proudly tell you were huge!) everything else measured perfectly. I am exactly 21 weeks 1 day and the baby measured the same which is apparently somewhat rare. We saw ten fingers and toes, legs and arms, stomach, kidneys, eyes, nose, mouth, and everything else in between....it all looks perfect. We couldnt be happier.

Part of me is in shock just realizing that we have a son coming our way this October and feeling so lucky that we have been blessed with such perfection. But no matter how many times a doctor tells you you are perfect it doesnt take the mommy worries away. That of course, will be a lifelong anxiety that never goes away.

Our next appointment in July 10, in which we will hopefully get a 4D picture of our little one's face. (He was moving around a lot this morning, clearly indicating that he does not like his sleep interrupted!) Until then, we are headed to California and will undoubtedly be arguing over baby names the whole time.

I didnt know that I could be so excited about penis....ITS A BOY!!! (For those of you who know me, you already know the truth behind that comment, please keep the laughs to yourself)

PS I forgot to add, he stuck his tongue out at us several times, it was adorable!
